Steven (Bear) Salfelder
Maintenance Coordinator
(512) 200-2231
Bear (Steven) started in construction when he was 17. As he grew in the residential and commercial construction trades, over time he became a foreman, a superintendent, then a project manager. After years of working for others, he started his own company, which lasted for over 12 years. Afterward, he went overseas to Afghanistan to work as a project manager for a large construction firm. Upon his return, he was offered the position of Maintenance Coordinator at Prime Properties. For the last 12 years, he has developed the procedures we use today to ethically handle all of the work that needs to be done on our properties. Born and raised in Staten Island, NY, he came to Texas in the late 70s. Being musically possessed, Austin provided a great atmosphere for Bear to perform. Having played the guitar his whole life, Steven found himself with a music career right alongside his contracting career, opening for acts such as George Strait and Conway Twitty all over the state. Bear now has a family that he loves dearly and lives on his own farm north of Austin with his lovely wife.
